Devotion

Bevy had many devoted fans, including Shane Wilson, who often pulled lights, subbed as coach, and shared detailed notes with the team after shows. Among their biggest supporters was David Montgomery, who attended nearly every performance with unwavering dedication. David witnessed the group’s fearless approach to improvisation, where no idea was too wild, and every move was met with enthusiastic support and playful heightening.

A Future for Bevy

Although the original cast stopped performing in 2005, David has carried Bevy’s spirit with him, generously sharing it with his students at Second City. Through David’s commitment to preserving Bevy’s free-flowing imagination, uninhibited physicality, and boundless support, their name, unique form and spirit continues to inspire the next generation of comedians who strive to improvise in the most positive "yes, and" way possible.
